Interactive voice response (IVR) systems are telephone-based interactive user interfaces which combine voicxe output form the computer with user input in the form of keypresses on the phone or simple human voice responses such as "Yes/No" or speaking digits. Most systems follow a fixed dialgogue tree, where the user responses determine which path to follow.
